Daniel and Rand Angel are two men apart from this world, brothers who came into existence at the age of seven because the time before that was lost to them. Well-versed in a language that does not exist and vainly trying to fit into our modern world, their lives are shattered when Daniel is struck down by sudden, violent blackouts. A chilling encounter with a bewitching young woman leads to their capture by two hard-faced men claiming to be State Troopers, and their attempts to escape soon give way to increasingly horrific events that tear them apart.
